Subco at Cables 2026, Blyth

Chris Rolfe, Principal Engineer at Subco Engineering, is attending Cables 2026, Global Underwater Hub's annual subsea cables conference, at Energy Central Campus in Blyth on Wednesday 9 September.
See our LinkedIn post here.
It's a short walk for us. The campus sits on Quay Road at the mouth of the River Blyth, adjacent to the Port of Blyth, where Subco is based.
The programme runs as three themed sessions and a closing workshop, covering HVDC and dynamic cables, operations, maintenance and repair, and innovations. Presenting organisations include Great British Energy, JDR Cables, Seaway7, Siemens and ORE Catapult, with the Port of Blyth among the exhibitors. The conference sold out ahead of its booking deadline.
That's our territory. Subco delivers structural analysis, lifting design and fatigue assessment across offshore renewables, marine and subsea projects, and the engineering behind cable handling and installation is exactly that work, the load cases, the lifts, and the bespoke equipment that carry them.
If you want to talk through a cable handling, lifting or structural challenge, find Chris at the conference. Or get in touch with the team and we'll pick it up from there.
